About Me (and this site)

My primary interests are in commercial applications of machine learning, statistics, text mining, image mining, geographic information systems, and open source software. This site (petergroves.com) is primarily a venue for me to "think out loud" about ideas for projects I have in these areas. It is also a touch point for contacting me for consulting work.

Furthermore, intend to use this site as a kind of sandbox for playing with various web publishing techniques (read: totally unnecessary rss feeds and AJAX buttons all over the place that are broken half the time).
